Itinerary
Landing Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, you’ll leave Hanoi and drive up northeast Vietnam. It is a long journey 240km through the National Route up to the mountainous area in Northeast Vietnam. You have the opportunity seeing fascinating scenery and minority people living off cultivation rice.
You will have lunch at local restaurant on the way and arrive Ba Be town late in the afternoon. You can stretch your legs at local markets and villages to break the long hilly route.
You have dinner and stay overnight in Ba Be.
After breakfast at the hotel/homestay, you’ll spend the day to visit Ba Be Lake, a part of the Ba Be National Park. In the morning, you will reach the lake and it is a pleasant experience relaxing as the boat glides through the unruffled crystal-clear water. The name Ba Be means ‘three lakes’ referring the three parts of this lake, the largest freshwater lake in Vietnam, spanning over 650ha and sitting at 145 meters above the sea level and formed 200 million years ago. The motor river cruise will take you to see the Widow’s Island, explore the Fairy Pons and Puong Cave in the vast Ba Be Lake.
Disembarking the boat, you come to Pac Ngoi village of Tay ethnic minority people to visit their house on stilts and local homestay. In the afternoon, you leave Ba Be to drive longer northeastern Vietnam to Cao Bang province. You stay overnight in Cao Bang town.
Today, you’ll continue the journey driving along Ma Phuc pass and through Trung Khanh district in the border with China to come Ban Gioc waterfall. You have an opportunity to visit the traditional Phuc Sen blacksmithing village of the Nung ethnic people. Local craftsmen still work manually to create quality knives, scissors, hoe, sickle...
Nguom Ngao (means Tiger cave) cave is a nature's masterpiece, a limestone used to be part of an ancient sea that existed about 400 million years ago, and in the area of Tay ethnic minorities, just 4km from Ban Gioc.
After lunch at local homestay, you come to Ban Gioc - one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Vietnam, but it is more special because the main waterfall is located between the Vietnam – China border. It is 53 meters high and have 3 levels, the waterfall drops 30 m
Enjoy your time at the Quay Son river bank by water from the waterfall then you relax at the hotel.
Dinner and stay overnight in Hanoi.
Leisure breakfast at the hotel/accommodation. Later, you come to Phat Tich Truc Lam pagoda before being on a long way returning Hanoi. It is worth to climb to this Zen pagoda in Ban Gioc, you will have stunning view to the majestic waterfall, the border river and green high mountain in front.
You will skip Cao Bang to drive through Lang Son city, save your time so you come back to Hanoi in the afternoon.
Overnight in Hanoi and relax after your long journey.
You will be free until time leaving to Noi Bai airport, be met by driver and car to be on time for your international departure flight.

(1.1) FIT – An initial deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking.

(1.4) In some circumstances it may be necessary for us to request additional deposits due to the contracture requirements of our suppliers. SKY ASIA TRAVEL will advise you of the complete conditions attached to any deposits required at the time of confirmation.
(1.5) In the event of the non-payment of any requested deposit, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.
(1.6) Note that if many extra services are booked after initial confirmation, Cashel Travel may require extra payments.
(1.7) Please note initial deposits (20%) are non-refundable
Following the receipt of the initial deposit, the client will be furnished with a confirmation of the tour details. The client shall immediately notify in writing if any errors are noted. SKY ASIA TRAVEL shall not be responsible for any errors not so notified.
+/ Full payment must be received 45 days prior to the tour/programme commencement date unless credit facilities agreed.
+/ In the event of the non-payment by due date we reserve the right to cancel the reservation, and in such event all deposits received shall be non-refundable.
+/ In the event of billing errors we reserve the right to re-invoice the correct amount.
+/ Amendments: In the event of cancellation of individual participants which results in changes in number of passengers within the group, SKY ASIA TRAVEL might apply a charge.
