Arriving at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel. You’ll have time to relax after your journey before having tickets for a performance of traditional Water Puppetry, an art form unique to northern Vietnam, and a good, light-hearted introduction to its rural culture. In the evening, you’ll have a welcome dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant. You’ll spend the night in Hanoi.
You’ll have the whole day to explore Vietnam’s capital city. Your guide will take you to the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam dating back to the 11th century. Followed by a visit to one of hundreds of pagodas in Hanoi, serene and solemn ambiance in charming scenes to Hanoi’s Ho Tay (West) Lake.
The excellent Ethnology Museum will provide you an overview of Vietnam’s 54 distinct ethnic groups and their life, culture and traditional costumes - in anticipation of your trip to Sapa. The Old Quarter is a maze of shopping streets and restaurants with a hotchpotch of architecture - traditional tube houses, religious buildings, artisans’ workshops and cottages, colonial houses and modern concrete edifices.
In the evening, your car will arrive to take you to Hanoi railway station in time to board the overnight sleeper train to Lao Cai. Overnight in cabin on train.
Your driver and local guide will be waiting at Lao Cai station in the early morning. Having your breakfast at local cafe, then you begin your journey up to Bac Ha market, located in the heart of Bac Ha small town. Every Sunday, colorful ethnic minority - such as Flower Hmong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay, and Nung - come all to sell and buy for their family. Some of these ethnic minorities can’t be met in any other areas.
After spending the whole morning exploring the market, you will have lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you take a short walk to Trung Do village inhabited by Tay people. Tay villages are always set up at the foot of a mountain or along a stream and are named after a mountain, a field, or a river. A large village is divided into many small hamlets. The houses are built on stilts or level with the ground. Stop by a traditional Tay house for a short visit before taking a boat cruise upstream the Chay River. The boat trip will end at Bao Nhai bridge where your vehicle will be waiting for you for the journey to Sapa,
You travel by car towards the Silver Waterfall. After a short time to take picture of the waterfall. You will then drive further to Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam. From there you can see Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina mountains as well as enjoy stunning views. The trek will be relatively soft until lunchtime. After a couple of hours of hiking, you will have a break at a nice spot in the forest and enjoy a good lunch.
With new energy you start ascending as well as descending towards the campsite. En route you have many opportunities to enjoy the scenery and magnificent views to Sapa area and beautiful landscape of Lai Chau province. You will arrive to the campsite at 2800m ASL in the late afternoon.
Now it is time to relax and enjoy a well-prepared dinner.

At 3,143m, Fansipan is the highest mountain in Indochina. In just a few short days, you will be able to enjoy the spectacular scenery.The trails are steep and the weather conditions extremely variable.
Therefore, in the interests of your safety and the safety of our team, we will cancel or reschedule a Fansipan climb in case of bad weather conditions.
After having breakfast, you climb to the top, where you can celebrate your victory. From there, you can enjoy the best view to beautiful sceneries. You will then start descending. You stop on the way at a nice spot for lunch.
After lunch, you start the tough trek, which is all the way downhill through rainforest. This part
requires a great concentration to step on steep trail until you meet the campsite at 2200m ASL. Here you spend another night in tent.
Approx: 6 hours walking/ 1 hour lunch
You wake up in the fresh and pure morning in wild nature, before heading back to civilization. You trek downhill through well-protected forest and after two hours of hiking, you stop for lunch.
You will then continue descending toward Sin Chai village of Back Hmong minority. On the way you will be able to enjoy valley views and beautiful surrounding.
You stop at the village for a while before you go by car back to Sapa, where you can celebrate your achievement and relax.
Approx: 0,5 hour driving/ 4 hours walking/ 1 hour lunch.
A morning leisure for resting or you can walk around the Sapa town or stroll around the central market.
Afternoon, an easy walk to visit an ethnic village in a scenic route. Surrounding the mountainous area of Sapa is some of the most breathtaking scenery in Vietnam. In addition, there are a number of ethnic minority hill tribes whose culture and way of life is truly amazing. The route enable you to observe and experience the reality and wonder of these communities.
You can choose your journey in the morning or afternoon VIP car/bus back to Hanoi capital and spend the rest of day in either Sapa or in Hanoi.
